THE RIVER'S DAUGHTER

My baby, my baby, You never tried to claim me, You held your words, Like they were thorns, And gave your love, To every storm. You never once stood by my name, I watched you smile, I stayed the same, You touched a world, That i could see, But never brought the world to me. You say you know what sorrow means, But never ask about my dreams, I speak in silence, You don't hear, I live in shadow You live clear. Blood may run with silent slaughter, But I still drift- the river's daughter. You looked at me, but never close You held a hand, but not for hope And I keep waiting Soft and still For you to see If you will All I wanted was a glance Not love, not vows, just one  small chance But i bet on hearts That never bother And I remain- The river's daughter. I am not your blood I am not your bone But i have cried Like I was home And blood may run, but runs no farther.. Than where you left- THE RIVER'S DAUGHTER

WHEN SWEETNESS SLEEPS

A sun-child is a moon-child gone , Who learned to smile and just hold on. Like papayas forced to ripen fast, She wore a skin that couldn't last. They sold her glow in golden jars , But dimmed her dreams, eclipsed her stars. She spoke in light, but breathed in night- A fading flame dressed up in bright. Her laughter cracked like painted glass, Too thin to hold the weight she'd pass. A sweetness missing in her care, She looked complete, but felt no more. But somewhere quiet, far from eyes, Where no one shapes, and no one buys, She'll ripen slow beneath the moon- Forgotten, yes- but sweet and soon .

THE EMBRACE BEYOND SHADOWS

Why is DEATH always imagined as a headless man wearing a black cloak? What if he has wings which has all the shades of every possible color you can imagine? What if he has a childlike face whose smile has an odd sense of comfort? What if DEATH comes as a LOVER IN THE END ?     THE EMBRACE BEYOND SHADOWS In realms where shadows softly creep, Where silence guards eternal sleep, DEATH is seen in cloaked disguise, A headless figure Dark and Wise. But what if wings of rainbow span, From such a spectral, eerie man? Each feather holds a shade profound, All colors of the world unbound. Beneath the hood, a face so small A child's smile that comforts all, A gentle grin, Both Sweet and Strange, A tender love that doesn't change. And in the end, as life decays, DEATH comes softly, in loving ways, A tender touch, A final breath, Embraced by love, we meet our, DEATH. For in his arms, we find, OUR PEACE, A lover's kiss, A sweet release, With wings of color,  Face so kind, DEATH  ...
